In today’s educational landscape, the faculty faces the dilemma of maintaining academic integrity while delivering meaningful assessments. As technology evolves, so do the methods students might use to bypass exam protocols. At the same time, we've developed solutions to protect the integrity of both in-person and online examinations. This presentation showcases comprehensive strategies for securing assessments without compromising their educational value, from using advanced proctoring technologies to implementing Learning Management System configurations. We'll discuss practical solutions that include LockDown Browser integration, strategic exam settings in D2L Brightspace, and best practices for conducting exam reviews without disclosing question banks. Balancing both the challenges and available tools, educators can create secure testing environments that maintain academic rigor and support student learning. Join us to discover how to protect assessment integrity while fostering an environment of authentic learning and fair evaluation.
